Pegasus Group celebrates launch of Newcastle office

Leading multidisciplinary consultancy Pegasus Group celebrated the opening of its 13th UK office with a launch event last week at Newcastle’s newest night spot. A drinks reception hosted by Senior Planning Director Sandra Manson was held at Leila Lily’s, when partners, clients, suppliers and guests were invited to toast Pegasus Group’s continued expansion. Sandra said: “We had a wonderful evening, showcasing the very best that Newcastle City Centre has to offer. “As one of the fastest growing cities in northern England, Newcastle is enjoying a period of investment which clearly reflects a confidence not seen for many years. We are very excited to be part of the buzz.” Based at The Corner, Mosley Street, the Newcastle office reflects an ambitious period of growth for Pegasus Group, particularly in the north of the country. The office is a recently refurbished Grade II Listed Building right in the heart of Newcastle Upon Tyne. Tony Bateman, Managing Director of Pegasus Group, said: “We are delighted to open our 13th office in one of the country’s most iconic cities, whose shipbuilding and manufacturing was at the heart of the Industrial Revolution.
“Our northern based offices, in Liverpool, Manchester and Leeds, already have a significant client base, and a Newcastle based office enables us to offer an enhanced service to our existing client base as well as prospective clients and support the growing demand for our specialist planning, design, environmental and economics services across the region.” Sandra Manson has extensive experience in various planning fields including residential, commercial, sport, recreation and leisure. Past work includes the promotion of schemes through the development plan process as well as through planning applications in the shorter term. Sandra is joined by a team of five including Associate Planner, Chris Martin who is experienced in a wide breadth of planning sectors with specialisms in residential, retail, commercial, and mixed-use schemes. With more than 300 skilled and experienced staff operating from 13 offices across the UK, the company’s services span the entire project process from site finding, acquisition and planning through to design and delivery, specialising in planning, design, environment, economics and heritage. Last month the company announced it is in the process of opening its 14th office in Dublin, its first overseas, helping to facilitate the work already underway in Ireland and allowing further opportunities to work in the EU following Britain’s withdrawal.
