n-compass CEO Voted Director of the Year 2019
Preston based Teresa Jennings has been named Director of the Year in a top Awards Ceremony created to celebrate the work of the third sector across the North West of England.
She is CEO of a charity called n-compass which provides around £6.5 million worth of health and social care services for around 32,000 people a year across the region.
Teresa won the Charity Director of the Year title at the Ceremony held at The Principal Manchester which was attended by 400 attendees.
Awards Spokesperson Phoebe Benta said “the event is now in its 3rd year and has a coveted reputation for highlighting the amazing work of the entire sector.”
Teresa has been involved in the management and leadership of services for adults for over 25 years, 17 of those in the charitable sector. She has managed sustainable and stable growth of 195% in just 4 years at n-compass, with income rising from £2.2m in 2015 to £6.5m 2019 with 160 passionate staff.
Teresa says “Awards offer a perfect platform to talk about what is needed to support the more vulnerable members of our society in these times of austerity and uncertainty. In my view we have to create a culture of resilience not reliance and a common sense approach to preventing issues rather than trying to cure them. I am elated to be recognised alongside many of my peers and hope that together we can continue to make a real difference through the work we all do.”
Teresa has held various non-executive positions and is an advisory committee member for BBC Children in Need. Earlier this year she received recognition for her contribution to charity in the English Women’s Awards
