Recruitment startup raises £1m for SaaS development and public sector expansion

A recruitment startup has raised £1m in an investment round to enhance its proposition and expand into the public sector market.

The team behind recruitment platform TalentPool have secured funding for new Software as a Service (SaaS) division Alvius, in a round led by existing investor Joe Saumarez Smith.

Based in London, TalentPool specialises in using AI and machine-learning to connect jobseekers and graduates with hiring startups and SMEs.

The funds will be used to grow the firm’s Alvius platform, which aims to automate processes like application filtering and use data science techniques to match candidates to suitable roles

The investment follows news that Alvius as been selected as an official supplier of talent pool software to the UK public sector.

Andrew Lavelle, co-founder of TalentPool and managing director of Alvius, commented: “We have seen with TalentPool how technology can take the pain out of hiring.

“Now employers can use our software to create their own talent platforms, replacing slow and inefficient sourcing and selection processes and matching great talent with current opportunities in a fraction of the time.”
