Trio of businesses join growing Sheffield former steelworks development
Three businesses have found their new homes at a former steelworks-turned-commercial development in Sheffield.
Advertising specialist Über Agency, Sardinian restaurant Domo and SaaS company Pendo have all taken space at sustainable developer Citu’s newly renovated Eagle Works in Kelham Island.
Über Agency has moved from its Park Hill office into the third and fourth floors of the Eagle Works development to accommodate its growing team, following its acquisition of Doncaster-based integrated agency Public Image last year.
Greg Clark, managing director of Über Agency, explained: “We’ve been looking for the ideal location in Kelham for several years, and Eagle Works ticks every box for Über’s needs and wants.
“Its historic character together with its central location within the contemporary Little Kelham development, together with Citu’s environmental credentials and goals, makes it our spiritual home.”
Taking 3,000 sq ft of space on the ground floor of the building, Sardinian restaurant Domo will also join the development, forming part of a new public square when it is completed this autumn.
North Carolina-headquartered SaaS firm Pendo has chosen the second floor of Eagle Works as the site of its new EMEA development centre, following its acquisition of local product demand intelligence platform Receptive.
Commenting on the three new additions to the development, Chris Thompson, managing director of Citu said: “The changing way in which we live and work in our cities requires us to blend together living and working into diverse and exciting neighbourhoods.
“This transition has been happening for some time in Kelham Island and it’s great that we’ve got such interesting, innovative occupiers into Eagle Works.
“We’re looking forward to welcoming even more new, exciting businesses to the building over the next few months.”
