Loganair to boost ‘growing economic links’ with latest Newcastle Airport route
Regional airline Loganair has revealed its newest route from Newcastle Airport today (October 3).
The airline has unveiled its new service from Newcastle to Cornwall Airport Newquay, set to launch in April 2020.
The year-round service will comprise four flights per week, running on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday with additional flights on Tuesday and Thursday during the school holidays in July and August.
Since its launch of services at the airport back in March with routes to Brussels and Stavanger, Loganair has added flights to Aberdeen and has announced routes to Bergen and Guernsey for next summer.
Loganair managing director Jonathan Hinkles said: “We’re excited by these new routes which we’ve been working for some time to develop at just the right level.
“With more and more people holidaying in the UK, avoiding expensive Euro exchange rates or enjoying a staycation with friends and family we’re confident that the routes will do well.
“The growing economic links between the North East of England and Cornwall mean we’re confident that business demand will sustain the year-round service.”
