By George She's Done it!

Kath Bradbury is a friend indeed; having already jumped out of a plane, in 2017, to raise money for Cystic Fibrosis sufferers, this time Kath took on ‘The Great Strides Ben Nevis Challenge’ with three friends.

Kath explained why this charity is so close to her heart; “One of my oldest friend’s son, George Monckton, 9, lives with the life limiting condition of Cystic Fibrosis, known as CF; not only is his mum one of my best friends, George is best mates with my son, Henry, who’s the same age”.

“CF is a genetic condition which makes the mucus in the body thicker and clogs the lungs, digestive system and other vital organs; I see how different and more difficult my friend’s life is than mine with hours spent giving treatments, attending appointments and feeding George up, to help keep him healthy enough to fight off the infections which people with CF are prone to”.

“CF is a degenerative condition and though George is quite well now, well enough to enjoy being a super-hero on his birthday! That won’t always be the case; he already has lung and liver damage which will continue to get worse. That is unless a cure or transformational drugs are made available. George is within touching distance of medication which could be life changing and the fight is on to ensure that all CF sufferers have access to this drug”, added Kath.

Kath has worked at Stafford Audi for over 20 years and all her colleagues are right behind her phenomenal fund-raising; since 2017 Kath and her friends have raised over £7,000 for the CF Trust
