£3m project launches to support South Yorkshire entrepreneurs
Sheffield Hallam University has announced a new £3m partnership project to support entrepreneurial business growth across the region.
European-funded initiative ScaleUp 360 will connect specialists from Doncaster and East Midlands Chambers of Commerce and Barnsley Business and Innovation Centre (BBIC) with local entrepreneurs, under the leadership of Sheffield Hallam University.
The partnership aims to deliver a high growth support programme for local businesses and entrepreneurs, and will feature account management, workshops, mentoring and access to networking and investment opportunities.
Conor Moss, group director for business engagement, skills and employability at Sheffield Hallam, explained: “ScaleUp 360 is an ambitious Sheffield City Region wide accelerator programme designed to provide the inspirational advice and support that businesses and entrepreneurs need in order to achieve sustainable high growth.
“Sheffield Hallam’s support for entrepreneurs and regional businesses through innovation and enterprise is just one of the ways the University is driving future economies in the region and beyond.”
Caroline Nouvellon, student and graduate enterprise manager, at Sheffield Hallam, added: “I’m delighted to be leading this innovative new project which will support the ambitions of entrepreneurs across the region.
