Knaresborough manufacturer celebrates whole decade of sustained growth
A Knaresborough specialist coatings manufacturer is celebrating 10 years of growth.
Resimac - which expanded into larger premises two years ago - now exports its industry-leading products to over 50 countries worldwide.
Started by Matthew McDonnell in 2009, the last decade has seen the research and development-led company become a market leader specialising in solvent free coatings and repair materials across multiple sectors.
Between them, the Resimac team has more than 500 years of collective technical expertise, a heritage enabling it to provide a wide range of products to multiple sectors, including marine & offshore, oil & gas, building, chemical and petro-chemical.
Matthew McDonnell said: “In 2009, after working in the coatings business for a number of years, I took the decision to branch out on my own.
“It was a leap of faith, but the previous five years had given me a wealth of experience which saw me first developing overseas markets for oil, gas and water pipeline coatings in Russia, China, South East Asia and Australia, then subsequently managing a sales and marketing team.”
He added: “From it initially being me, we now employ a team of 15 at our head office, with contractors located on every continent.
“The key to our success is understanding the markets we operate in and developing a rage of industry-leading products that our customers have trust in to fulfil their exacting requirements, be it waterproofing domes on an historic African building to applying nonslip coatings to walkways on North Sea ferries.”
