SES Engineering Services delivers on £42m build-to-rent scheme in Leeds
National engineering specialist SES Engineering Services (SES) has added to its growing portfolio of build-to-rent schemes.
It has announced a recent contract win with main contractor Sir Robert McAlpine on a £42m mixed-use private rental scheme in Leeds.
On this latest contract win for the Yorkshire office, SES has been appointed to provide mechanical, electrical and plumbing design and installation services on Mustard Wharf, currently under construction for developer, Legal and General.
Designed by Leeds-based architect, Enjoy Design, the 8,640 sq m build-to-rent scheme, located at Granary Wharf, an established retail, leisure and residential area in the city, is set out across three multi-storey buildings.
It will create 24/7 one, two and three-bedroom apartments with communal areas, a gym and covered parking spaces. In addition to the apartments, the development will also feature retail and leisure units at ground floor level.
Speaking about its involvement in a key scheme for Leeds, SES’ business director North and Scotland, Steve Joyce, said: “SES is well-versed in delivering major residential schemes of this calibre, including both student and build to rent accommodation across Yorkshire and elsewhere in the UK.
“I believe it is this experience that makes us best placed to work hand in hand with Sir Robert McAlpine and the wider design team on the design and construction of Mustard Wharf.
“We pride ourselves on creating energy conscious spaces and delivering innovative building services design and installations that as a minimum, we match but more often exceed, client expectations.”
