Housebuilder appoints award-winning Brendan to lead Bishops Lydeard development
David Wilson Homes has appointed award-winning site manager Brendan Mason to oversee its new development near Taunton.
Brendan will take on the role of site manager at Moorland Gate, which is situated in the rural village of Bishops Lydeard and will bring 173 new homes to the area.
Brendan will be responsible for overseeing construction at the site, liaising with construction workers, subcontractors and suppliers. He has played a key role within the industry over four decades and says his favourite part of his job is the feeling of satisfaction from finishing the homes to the highest standards possible.
“It takes a lot of drive and determination to build quality homes. It’s really rewarding when you can hand over the keys and see the happy look on people’s faces as they walk into their new home,” he said.
Brendan is an award-winning site manager, having won a coveted national Pride in the Job Award from the National House Building Council (NHBC) earlier this year.
David Wilson Homes managing director Ian Menham said: “We are very happy to have Brendan taking the reins at this exciting development. His industry experience and track record for success show he will do a great job and we look forward to sharing progress at Moorlands Gate with the local community as it develops.”
Brendan’s team is creating 173 brand-new two, three, four and five bedroom homes at Moorland Gate. The development is estimated to support around 519 jobs will be supported while the new homes are being built and sold.
