Batley e-learning solutions provider doubles turnover following major client wins
A Batley e-learning solutions firm has doubled its turnover after increasing its marketing activities and onboarding new clients.
Topping £1m for the first time since its founding in 1999, Day One Technologies grew its turnover from £550k to £1.2m in the 2018/19 financial year.
Day One Technologies offers bespoke elearning development services based on sound principles to drive learner engagement.
Services include creating business system simulations, learning management system development, scenario-based training content and blended learning solutions.
Day One Technologies’ director, Elaine Teal, said: “For over 20 years we’ve been creating innovative elearning, system simulations and blended learning projects that engage staff and improve business performance, but we’ve never really promoted these outside of our existing circle of clients.
“After deciding to up our marketing efforts, we noticed a huge increase in enquiries which led to four major new clients commissioning us to develop bespoke elearning solutions.”
Day One Technologies has previously supported businesses such as The Co-operative Bank, GHD and TSB, as well as government and third sector organisations, with training consultancy and implementation.
During its most successful year to date, the company was appointed to develop technical elearning projects for two government bodies in the Middle East in order to help with infrastructure and leadership development.
In addition, with mental health charity Mind, it created an interactive, online learning course aimed at sports coaches, for sports coach provider 1st4Sport.
Commenting on what’s next for the company, Elaine added: “We’ve recently invested further in our staff which means that there will be some new business developments in the coming months.
“Over the next year, we plan to focus specifically on the healthcare market where we have a strong background, as well as continuing with our support for local businesses in order to help build the training and development of the Yorkshire workforce.”
The company is hoping to increase its turnover in 2019 by a further 10 per cent.
