London budget hotel brand secures permission for France airport development
London-based hotel brand easyHotel has been given the go-ahead for a new 209-room hotel at a key international hub in France.
The group, which specialises in ‘super budget’ hotels, has secured planning permission for the development of the new easyHotel at Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport.
Construction on the hotel, which is being developed by Linkcity Ile de France, is expected to begin imminently, with its opening anticipated in the 2020/21 financial year.
The news of the Paris hotel comes as the group has secured a franchise agreement with Ushba Ltd for the development of a new 110-room hotel in Derby, as well as a 20-year exclusive franchise agreement with R&N Services Ltd to support the brand’s development in Tel Aviv is Israel.
Guy Parsons, chief executive of easyHotel, commented: “I am pleased to report further progress against our strategy as we continue to expand our network of super budget hotels in city-centre locations, both in the UK and across international markets.
“The board believes that the current economic uncertainties will continue to present attractive investment opportunities for the brand and we look forward to announcing further updates in due course.”
