Global software and manufacturing solutions specialist seals HQ deal in Alnwick

A specialist precision software and manufacturing company is moving into new headquarters in Northumberland.

MSP, which develops manufacturing technology for global businesses, has bought the freehold of its site in Alnwick.

MSP’s clients include Safran, BAE Systems and four Formula 1 teams. The company is said to be remaining ‘committed’ to its Northumberland origins, where founders Tony Brown and Peter Hammond relocated from the south to establish the company.

Peter Hammond, technical director of MSP, said: “Purchasing the Greensfield Court site means we can put down roots for the long-term in Alnwick, where Tony and I moved with our families back in 2002 to found MSP.

“Since then, we have achieved prominence on a global scale with an international client base and a strong and proven track record of achieving results, with cost savings routinely running into millions of pounds.”

Through purchase of the building, MSP is to become a landlord to three existing tenants: Alnwick Farming Consultants; Scottish Woodlands Limited; and Renal Services UK Limited. MSP has bought the site from property company, Northumberland Estates.

Peter added: “We are very proud to be based in Alnwick and to create jobs for local people, as well as attracting talented people from across the UK or even overseas…

“Further strategic expansion is certainly on the agenda and we look forward to welcoming new additions to our team and to our newly-purchased Greensfield Court headquarters.”
