Barratt Homes welcomes Alex Cunningham MP to Stockton-on-Tees site

Award-winning housebuilder Barratt Homes North East recently welcomed local MP and Shadow Housing Minister Alex Cunningham to its Jubilee Gardens development in Stockton-on-Tees, to celebrate the recently renewed five star accreditation, which Barratt has achieved from the national Home Builders Federation (HBF) annual customer satisfaction survey for the tenth consecutive year.

After officially opening Jubilee Gardens development last year, Alex Cunningham MP was welcomed back onto the five star site by Barratt Developments North East representatives, including Managing Director Carl Sobolewski, Regional Managing Director Mike Roberts and Sales Director Fenton Hewitt. As well as receiving an insightful tour of the development, Mr Cunningham also learnt about the many activities that the housebuilder conducts within the local community, including educational visits with Tilery Primary School, the sponsorship of new kit for Stockton West End Football Club and commemorating the life of local resident, Eric Oates, with a memorial bench on the development. The team were also on hand to talk Mr Cunningham through the current schemes available to support both first time and existing buyers, such as Barratt Homes’ Part Exchange scheme and the Government’s Help to Buy scheme, as well as affordable housing.

Alex Cunningham, Stockton North MP and Shadow Housing Minister, commented: “I was thrilled to have been invited back to Jubilee Gardens to celebrate Barratt Developments achieving its five star accreditation for the tenth year running. It’s wonderful to see how far the site has progressed since I officially opened it last year and to learn about the many ways in which Barratt Homes supports the local community. Jubilee Gardens continues to provide much needed housing for the Stockton area and I will look forward to seeing how the site continues to develop in the coming years.”

Carl Sobolewski, Managing Director of Barratt Developments North East said: “It was wonderful to welcome back MP Alex Cunningham to Jubilee Gardens and give him a behind-the-scenes look at the work that goes into building our developments. His visit was a fantastic way to celebrate our HBF five star achievement, which we are very proud to have received, and we thank him for taking the time to visit the site. The properties that we continue to develop at Jubilee Gardens will give more first-time buyers, couples and families a great opportunity to secure a brand new home in Stockton.”
