Booming Beattie books another £1m of new business
Beattie, the integrated communications agency with offices in Manchester and Leeds, has booked another £1 million of new business over the last two months.
The agency had its best ever new business month in August when it added £1 million in new fees and over September and October it piled on another £1 million, making the last quarter an all-time new business record.
“Our marketing drive is certainly paying dividends,” said Rachel Gladwin, managing director for the North and Midlands. “It’s enabled us to buck the Brexit slowdown and the uncertainty surrounding the global economy.
“We’ve added new clients across banking, hospitality, fashion, healthcare and housing for integrated communications.
“Brands have also signed up for our silo services of PR, digital, social, content and creative but our integrated menu has been the biggest winner.
“As things stand, all of our UK profit centres are significantly ahead of where they were last year and there is no sign of things slowing down with lots of additional business coming in from new and existing clients.”
Beattie Communications expanded into Ireland last month and David McCavery, the managing director of Beattie Ireland has reported a lucrative new business win in Dublin in the manufacturing sector.
Beattie is on the verge of opening an office in Dublin before and plans are afoot to recruit a director for the office.
Beattie is also poised to hire a big hitter in Toronto where its Canadian operation Beattie Tartan recorded an 18% uplift in turnover over the last 12 months.
Gladwin added: “A further expansion is also under consideration in the north of England and we hope to be in a position to make an announcement early in the New Year.”
London-headquartered Beattie was established 34 years ago by former journalist Gordon Beattie. Its UK operation has offices in Manchester, Leeds, Birmingham, Glasgow and Belfast.
