Knaresborough Town FC nets new sponsorship deal with Dacres
Knaresborough’s leading estate agency firm has lent its support to the town’s local football team. Dacre, Son & Hartley has sponsored Knaresborough Town FC for the second consecutive year. Its donation will contribute towards pitch maintenance, ground improvements and the cost of hiring a mini bus for away matches. Chris Dight, the club’s commercial manager, said: “Its great news that Dacres is on board again for another year, we really value their support.” Senior Associate Nick Alcock, who heads up Dacre, Son & Hartley’s Knaresborough office, said: “Knaresborough Town FC are a successful team with loyal supporters and we very much enjoy supporting them. “We endeavour to get involved with as many local clubs and events as possible, as we understand how important it is to play a role in the communities that we operate within. We currently support Knaresborough Cricket Club, and have sponsored the fabulous feva festival, supported the Autumnfest, which was organised by Renaissance Knaresborough, donated to Not Just Hair’s ‘hair-athon’ raising money for lifesaving research into Ewing sarcoma via Frank’s Fund, and always take part in the annual Knaresborough Christmas Tree Festival. Our continued sponsorship of Knaresborough Town FC is a great way of engaging with Knaresborough’s community and we wish them all the best in the League Cup tie later this month.” Knaresborough Town FC’s first team play in the Premier Division of the Northern Counties East League (NCEL) and are currently mid-table, in 15th position, having played 25 games winning 9, drawing 5 and losing 11. The team is scheduled to play its League Cup tie against Doncaster’s Armthorpe Welfacre FC on Wednesday 27th November. Established in 1902, Knaresborough Town FC is a popular club based on Manse Lane.
