Leeds digital consultancy acquires data-analytics firm in growth drive
A Yorkshire service design and delivery consultancy has announced its acquisition of a local data-analytics firm.
Hippo Digital, which is based in Leeds, has acquired data analytics provider Converging Data as part of its ongoing growth.
Founded in 2016, Hippo Digital works with public and private sector clients involved in large-scale digital transformations.
The firm’s acquisition of Converging Data brings additional clients to the Hippo portfolio as well as specialist knowledge of analytics, IoT and cyber security.
Robert Coop, co-founder at Hippo Digital, commented: “The acquisition of Converging Data represents an exciting time for both companies. It has always been our intention to bring robust data-driven decision-making to our evidence-based delivery approach.
“This means our clients will have the confidence that design decisions are centred on adding value and delivery is focused on what matters most to users.”
Neil Murphy at Converging Data, added: “I am really excited by the opportunity for the team at Converging Data to join Hippo Digital.
“Our ability to deliver data analytics and help clients to get real insight into their business operations, is going to be a great fit with Hippo Digital’s approach to service delivery. It will provide a great offer for existing and new clients.”
Hippo Digital was advised on the acquisition by a corporate team from Addleshaw Goddard (including managing associate Carly Gulliver) and by Murray Harcourt (including Neil Sengupta). Converging Data was advised by 3volution (including Amy Woodfine).
