Evolution Funding appoints Keith Bell in sales team reshuffle

Motor finance broker Evolution Funding has named Keith Bell as its new Sales Director, responsible for its regional sales function that works with independent and franchised motor retailers.

Bell brings over 20 years of motor finance experience to the role. He joins Evolution from Barclays Partner Finance (BPF), where he held the position of National Accounts Director for the past five years. He was responsible for the relationships and performance of BPF’s national account portfolio.

Previous to this, Bell spent three years with First National Motor Finance before joining BPF in 2003 as an Area Sales Manager, progressing to Regional Sales Manager.

Bell commented: “I have worked in partnership with Evolution during my previous role and have followed their success with interest. It is therefore exciting to be joining the company at such an important time in its transformation. I am looking forward to working with my team to achieve Evolution’s ambitious growth plans.”

The appointment marks a sales team reshuffle, with Sales Director, Chris Coverdale, taking on the new role of Group Sales Director. He will have overall responsibility for the Regions, Key Accounts, and Leisure. The restructure will allow Coverdale to focus on Evolution’s sales strategy and sales force effectiveness. Paul Hibbert remains in charge of Evolution’s Key Accounts function.

Coverdale added: “We are delighted to welcome Keith on board. Not only does he have a wealth of industry experience and strong relationships with the big dealer groups, but there is also a lot we can learn from Keith through his previous positions.

“There is strength in combining the agility and dynamism of a business such as Evolution with the process and culture of a corporate enterprise such as Barclays. We look forward to working with Keith to leverage the growth opportunities.”
