Watford hotel launches co-working space in bid to support local professionals
Hospitality group Village Hotels has launched its newest co-working space at its Watford site.
Village Hotel Club Watford has officially opened its co-working space, known as VWorks, in a bid to meet growing demand for flexible workspace.
Offering hot desks along with wi-fi, printing and photocopying facilities and a range of refreshments, the space can be booked through the hotel’s app.
The group, which operates 30 hotels across the country, has developed the concept in response to a growing demand for co-working facilities through the rise of the gig economy and flexible working.
Joel May, general manager of Village Hotel Club Watford, commented: “We’ve noticed an increasing number of people looking for a space to work throughout the day, whether they’re looking for a temporary alternative to the office, or the home.
Through VWorks we hope to provide a smart and inspiring workspace, as well as giving people the opportunity to take advantage of our other facilities, from the Gym to Starbucks and our Pub & Grill.“
