Yorkshire pet interior brand Olive & Berry launches campaign to help the homeless
Yorkshire-based pet interior specialist Olive & Berry, has revealed a new campaign to donate essential items to homeless charities across the North of England this winter.
The new online interior boutique for pet owners with style, which launched in August this year, is part of Natwest’s #BackHerBusiness project. This platform helps new women-led businesses raise vital funds for business growth through crowdfunding, with the option of giving something back if they wish.
Olive & Berry’s Founder, Leeds-based Natalie Tyson, has set an ambitious target of £2,000 over eight weeks from 4 December 2019 to 28 January 2020, which Natwest will potentially match-fund up to 50%. She has also decided to reward donors and give to charity as a thank you.
For every funding donation made, Natalie will give back to people who need it most by donating essential items including shower gel, first aid kits, blankets, sanitary products and full care packages to homeless charities across the North of England this winter.
The crowdfunding campaign will be powered by ‘rewards’ which generous donors will receive to enjoy themselves. From discount codes to be used on the website to dog toys and the ultimate doggy packages, including lots of lovely Olive & Berry products, the rewards are pawfect for dog-lovers who want to do some feel-good funding.
Olive & Berry has interior friendly and sustainably sourced products at its heart, and Natalie has always wanted the business to help the homeless, through donations and long-term partnerships.
She explains: “Ever since the idea for Olive & Berry took flight, I knew I wanted to give something back and homeless charities are very close to my heart. There are approximately 320,000 homeless people in the UK, scary right! Too many people are struggling to find a way to live and they say you are only one pay packet away from becoming homeless. If it wasn’t for our friends and extended family, my own family would have been homeless so it’s something I care deeply about.
“With the growth of Olive & Berry, I want to make sure we are giving back every step of the way. Dogs don’t discriminate and all people matter, so I hope that through this crowdfunding campaign I can raise money to both donate items now, but also grow my business so I can keep on giving and build long-term support for homeless charities in the North of England.”
