Five new brands to launch at growing Leeds retail destination
Five new businesses are set to join a growing retail and leisure destination in West Yorkshire.
Caffé Nero, EE, The Works, Shoe Zone and Lola Rose Interiors are the latest retailers to join The Springs at Thorpe Park in Leeds.
Developer Scarborough International Properties Limited (SIPL) and its joint venture partner Legal & General have agreed a ten-year lease with popular coffee house brand Caffé Nero which is taking an 1,800 sq ft unit.
Mobile network operator EE has secured a ten-year lease for a 1,115 sq ft retail unit, and arts and crafts store The Works is set to occupy a 2,500 sq ft unit on a 5-year lease.
In addition, designer furniture store Lola Rose Interiors has also committed to a 2,500 sq ft unit on a one-year lease agreement.
News of the store openings comes as phase two of a £162m investment from Legal & General Capital is underway.
Phase two of the development includes includes the 350,000 sq ft retail and leisure park as well as a further 900,000 sq ft of Grade A office accommodation, 300 new residential homes by Redrow and a 113-acre public park with sports facilities.

“We had always set out to bring a strong blend of options for visitors to The Springs and to reach 83 per cent occupancy in our first year since launch is quite an achievement in an otherwise challenging marketplace.”
