£65m Belgravia penthouse sold following Conservative general election victory

A London penthouse apartment has sold for a ‘record’ price on the back of the 364 seat majority win for the Conservative Party at the 2019 General Election.

The penthouse on Grosvenor Crescent has been purchased by a Hong Kong buyer for £65m, in a deal understood to have been brokered by Beauchamp Estates.

Located across the top two floors of Belgravia Gate, with interior design by Thomas Juul-Hansen LLC, the penthouse of circa 9,800 sq ft is arranged as a six bedroom duplex, including a 2,000 sq ft private rooftop terrace.

The lower floor of the duplex features two large reception rooms, a 14-16 seat formal dining room, a family kitchen and breakfast room, study, cocktail bar and guest bedroom suite.

On the upper level of the penthouse is the master bedroom suite, which spans the entire depth of the building, and has a bedroom suite with lounge area, His and Hers ensuite bathrooms and a master bathroom, as well as a further four VIP bedroom suites.

Beauchamp Estates, which was founded in 1979 by Gary Hersham, is known for brokering high value deals, including a sale in excess of £170m of a palatial 18,000 sqft private palace in France.

The firm has declined to comment on the Belgravia penthouse deal.
