Specsavers opens new flagship store in Manchester Arndale
A city centre opticians’ has relocated to larger premises after outgrowing its old site.
Specsavers has been a staple of the Manchester Arndale since 1995 and employs 80 team members. Its move to a new suite within the same centre has seen the retailer expand its size by more than 40%, allowing the store to offer more appointments to local customers.
Specsavers Manchester Arndale offers both eye care and audiology services. The store, which is now on one level, is easily accessible to those with limited mobility, with a spacious, open floor plan and wheelchair friendly test rooms.
A large waiting area offers customers a bright, comfortable place to sit ahead of optical and audiology appointments, and the store has the very latest Specsavers shop fit.
In addition to a brand new look, the Manchester Arndale store is one of just five stores in the UK trialling the latest audiological technology.
The ‘Wearables’ are the new wireless earbuds, which enable the wearer to listen to their music and take calls through the device. The earbuds also help to amplify and sharpen the sound, giving an overall easier listening experience.
Peter Dodd, retail director at Specsavers Manchester Arndale, says: ‘We’ve been overwhelmed by the support on our brand-new store, which has enabled us to expand both our optical and audiological services.
‘We’ve listened to feedback from customers and our bigger and better new premises will help us to accommodate people more quickly and comfortably while retaining the high quality of customer service that we pride ourselves on.’
