Yorkshire developer expands North East footprint with £10m residential scheme
A Yorkshire-based property developer has begun work on a £10m scheme in the North East which is set to deliver 21 new homes.
Advent Developments has started work on Roman Gate, a new residential development in Middleton St George near Darlington.
Comprising 21 four and five bedroom family homes, the scheme will also feature landscaped gardens, garages and parking.
Roman Gate is the latest for the Chop Gate-based firm, which has worked on projects such as the £7m South Side Ridge development in Pudsey near Leeds.
The scheme, which is scheduled for completion by summer 2020, is part of the company’s plan to expand into other regions.
Tim Reeve, managing director of Advent Developments, commented: “We are excited about extending our footprint into the North East.
“As a boutique developer we have an enviable reputation for creating unique homes which benefit from an exceptional specification and an uncompromising quality of finish.
“Roman Gate will be built to these same principles, making it a valuable addition to the local property landscape by providing high quality homes in this attractive, accessible and established location.”
The main building contract works are being undertaken by Wetherby-based Keepsake Construction, with funding for the project provided by Homes England.
Keith Smart, managing director of Keepsake Construction, said: “We have worked closely with Advent Developments on a number of projects and Roman Gate promises to be a really impressive scheme, offering a range of spacious homes which we will deliver to the highest standards.”
Stephen Waddington, development finance manager at Homes England, added “This is the second Advent Developments scheme Homes England has funded and we have been impressed by their overall performance.”
