HR tech COO and Co-Founder named 2019 West Midlands Woman in Tech
Natural HR’s COO and Co-Founder, Sarah Dowzell fought off stiff competition at the West Midlands Tech Awards last Thursday to be crowned the 2019 West Midlands Woman in Tech.
The West Midlands Tech Awards were launched in 2018 and celebrate everything the West Midlands has to offer as a burgeoning hub for technology; from FinTech and young talent to innovation in education and property tech.
Highlighting the contribution of women in tech and their inspiring stories from within the sector, the West Midlands Woman in Tech Award was highly contested by some of the region’s very best.
Having identified a gap in the market, Sarah has seen Natural HR transform from a hobby to a full-blown business. The HR tech company has gone from 2 to 26 employees in the space of just three years and in 2019 alone, they secured £250,000 investment to launch one of the UK’s first fully integrated payroll functions.
On winning this prestigious award, Sarah said: “I’m thrilled to have been awarded the West Midlands Woman in Tech Award. It is an honour to be recognised for the hard work put into co-founding and growing Natural HR into the successful business it is today. “We know that women are still hugely underrepresented in tech, and I hope to continue encouraging more women and young girls into the field to spearhead and shape the future of this everchanging technology landscape.”
