L’Oréal set for new HQ in West London creative business district

Beauty and cosmetics giant L’Oréal UK and Ireland has announced it will be relocating its London headquarters to one of the city’s growing creative business districts.

L’Oréal is set to move from its existing base in Hammersmith to a new bespoke building in White City Place in West London.

The brand will occupy six floors of the 11-storey building, which comprises over 240,000 sq ft of space and will feature a L’Oréal Academy specialising in hairdressing.

Nathalie Bleach, operations director at L’Oréal UK and Ireland, explained: “The new building is at the heart of an energetic and creative campus located next to Imperial College and Westfield London, a location which is reflective of our ambition to become the leading beautytech company.

“Relocating our corporate headquarters is a unique opportunity to provide our employees with a workplace for tomorrow and a headquarters that best represents our creative and innovative company alongside our mission of beauty for all.”

The bespoke building is part of new creative business district White City Place, developed and owned by Stanhope, Mitsui Fudosan and AIMCo.

David Camp, chief executive of Stanhope, commented: “We are delighted that L’Oréal has chosen to make a new building at White City Place as their new UK headquarters.

“They will be a great addition to the fantastic mix of creative and fashion companies already based at White City Place and will help cement White City’s position as a leading global business district for world class companies.”

Eiichiro Onozawa, managing director of Mitsui Fudosan, added: “L’Oréal has chosen to make White City Place their new permanent home in London, joining a host of world leading companies located in White City including Novartis and Publicis.

“The move highlights how White City has quickly become a destination of choice for ambitious, innovative businesses seeking world class facilities, a prime location and renowned transport links.”
