East Midlands law firm scores top city centre location for new Nottingham self-service ale bar

Fraser Brown Solicitors has been working with the owners of the popular Another? Wine Bar to secure the premises license and lease of the new Tap House bar in Nottingham city centre.

The recently opened self-service ale bar brings four new jobs to the city and features 24 drink taps serving wine, frizzante, IPAs, Lagers, Porter stouts, as well as a food menu with Detroit style pizza. This is the second self-service venue to be opened in the city centre by entrepreneur brothers and co-owners Sam and Tom Benjamin, with Tap House now situated at 10 Byard Lane; a prime busy and social location in the city.

The venue is housed in the former original Paul Smith retail store, in an iconic setting complete with a hidden outdoor space - ensuring an ideal drinking spot all year round.

As Tap House, the unit looks far from its Paul Smith retail days, stripped back to brick exposing the original windows, with a statement tiled beer wall for a unique and contrasting aesthetic.

Fraser Brown Solicitors acted on behalf of Sam and Tom Benjamin and their company Another Glass limited, with commercial property associate, Liam Wilkinson negotiating an agreement for a 10-year lease (conditional upon planning and the premise licence being granted), which has now been successfully granted, together with a licence to alter for the tenant’s fit out works. Joanne Soar assisted in successfully applying for a premises licence to serve alcohol at the property.
