Workplace Treats Manchester Freelancers to Combat Blue Monday
Workplace opens its doors Monday Jan 20th to support gig economy workers
Executive office space, Workplace, is opening its doors for free to self-employed workers on Monday 20th January, aka Blue Monday, to help remote workers beat the blues of working alone.
In the wake of recent reports that six out of ten freelancers feel lonely and suffer from depression, Workplace is hoping its open-door policy will enable workers who often work in isolation to benefit from an office community and connect with similar people.
Members at Workplace usually pay per day for use of the shared business lounge, which includes Worker Bee tea and coffee and a friendly manned reception, but this coming Monday any freelance or remote workers wanting a more sociable environment to work in can come and use the space free of charge.
Adrian Stevenson, director, Workplace, says: “Working from home has its advantages but it can also be a solitary existence, which is why it’s ideal to plan a change of environment every so often. Our business lounge offers no-commitment, luxury co-working space to provide freelancers with a professional setting where they can work, as well as make new connections.
“We’re planning to eradicate Blue Monday all together by offering a friendly welcome and a sociable environment to any freelancers wanting to take advantage of our free offer.”
Free Blue Monday places are will be confirmed by email on a first come, first served basis.
Centrally-based on Oxford Street, Workplace is an executive environment with uncommitted flexibility, comprising co-working space, dedicated desks and private offices. The executive space includes extra touches, such as locally produced Worker Bee tea and coffee and support staff with hospitality experience, which add that extra layer of luxury and professionalism.
