Emission-free car rental scheme launches in central London
An emission-free, all-digital, all-electric car rental service has launched in London’s Park Lane.
UFODRIVE, which launched across Europe in 2018, offers a fleet of Tesla electric cars as an alternative to typical car rental programmes.
With the UFODRIVE app offering availability around the clock, users in London will now be able to choose, find, inspect and sign in for one of the cars in less than two minutes.
Car pick-up is to be located at Q-Park in Park Lane near Marble Arch; Q-Park has an established partnership with UFODRIVE, and will support it as it rolls out to a further three London locations in coming months.
Aidan McClean, CEO of UFODRIVE, commented: “By combining the smartphone revolution with the coming electric car revolution, UFODRIVE has developed something unique: the first all-digital, all-electric car rental service.
“Our customers will wonder why they ever settled for anything less than renting vehicles like the game-changing Tesla Model 3 or Model S. We combine a great car with the convenience of a seamless and fast smartphone rental app.”
John Denton, head of sales & marketing at Q-Park UK and Ireland, added: “Following a successful collaboration in other Q-Park locations we are delighted to help support the roll out of UFODRIVE into central London.
“Q-Park parking facilities are not just the safest places to park but they are also multi-functional mobility hubs which are perfect destinations for all-electric car rental services.
