Plans unveiled for new £1.4m veterinary hospital in Leeds

An office building in Leeds is set to be transformed into a new £1.4m veterinary hospital by a local veterinary group.

Work is set to start in April on the conversion of an office building at Temple House in Seacroft funded by VetPartners on behalf of Beechwood Veterinary Group.

Comprising even consulting rooms, three operating theatres, x-ray room, ultrasound suite, dental theatre with dental x-ray, and separate cat and dog wards, the hospital will also house the 20-strong team of Beechwood Veterinary Group - currently based at the group’s clinic in Crossgates.

Beechwood Vets’ practice manager, Kelly Mann, commented: “We will be able to offer a much better service at the new hospital as there will be much more space for improved facilities.

We have outgrown our current site in Crossgates and struggle with the number of consult rooms and lack of kennel space. This limits the number of nurse clinics we can offer to our clients. We have an excellent team of enthusiastic nurses, who are keen to grow and develop this service, so having the additional consulting space will allow us to do this.

“Moving to a bigger site and to a building that is being converted to meet our needs is a massive boost. As well as providing improved facilities for clients and patients, it will be great place to work for our veterinary team. It’s an exciting time for us all and it has been great being part of the planning process.”
