Three new businesses join the Krynkl family for 2020
KRYNKL, the award winning Sheffield business centre created entirely from recycled shipping containers, is welcoming three new tenants for the start of 2020.
Launching in February, micro bar The Nook will take up a first floor space within the Shalesmoor complex.
Owners Glen Hinchliffe and John Asquith previously ran the highly successful Blah Bar in Barnsley and The Nook marks their first venture in Sheffield.
Also new to Krynkl is Desk.space, the flexible working space specialist, which already has a base at Hope Works in nearby Kelham Island and will be offering six co-working spaces at its new Shalesmoor site, with two of those slots already filled.
Desk.space offers an individual desk within the facility as well as superfast broadband and the use of Desk.Space as a registered address if required.
The third new tenant is Engaged Solutions, the Doncaster based data-driven digital marketing agency specialising in SEO, content marketing, social media and SEM, web design/development and lead generation.
Krynkl, where they will take two units, will mark their third site in the South Yorkshire region.
Krynkl was created by award winning multi disciplinary practice CODA Studios and is built out of 26 recycled shipping containers, creating a four story development that has become a major landmark on the route into Sheffield city centre.
The project was originally funded by Barnsley based lender A Shade Greener and is now funded by Unity Bank.
“As we go into a new year, it is great to see three new companies joining the Krynkl family,” said CODA chairman David Cross.
“Krynkl has proved to be a consistently successful home for many Sheffield start ups and also for more established businesses.
“Our aim was to create space for start-ups to have a go at building business and that’s exactly what’s happened.
“There are over 70 jobs that have been created within Krynkl and many of them have grown up and flown the nest to do bigger and better things. I’d call that a success!”
