Leisure company which created 30 jobs 'finalising plans' for next project

The owner of a boutique, hotel, bar and restaurant on the Northumberland coast is planning its next projects after concluding a seven-figure refinancing deal.

After completing a £3m refurbishment and expansion programme at Beadnell Towers, Henson Leisure is finalising plans for its next project, which is expected to open this year, with more expected to follow.

Ayden De Beer, corporate finance executive at RMT Accountants & Business Advisors, worked with the Henson Leisure management team on the refinancing deal, which has been completed through Max Birkinshaw, Corporate Banking Manager at the Morpeth branch of Handelsbanken.

Around 30 people have so far been recruited to work at Beadnell Towers, mostly from in and around the village itself, while visitors have come from all over the UK and from as far afield as Norway, Germany and North America.

David Wilson, managing director, commented: “We’ve had a fantastic response to the hotel and restaurant, both from the visitors that we’re attracting and from the local community, which has been crying out for this type of high-quality destination venue.

“There’s so much happening in Northumberland and across the North East at the moment, and we want to build on this momentum by establishing more venues across the region which match the quality and style that’s on offer in Beadnell.

“Each project will be a one-off development with its own character and style, and we’re now looking at a range of different potential locations around the North East that offer the right sort of environment for this type of venue.
