Multi-channel investment pays off for OnTheMarket with record traffic
Property specialist OnTheMarket has seen ‘record’ numbers of traffic to its online portal at the beginning of the year.
January 2020 saw the firm’s property portal exceed 30 million visits, a 28 per cent year-on-year increase and 11 per cent more than the existing record of 27.2 million.
The increase in traffic also reflected a boost in leads performance, with a 52 per cent rise in the total number of phone and email leads compared with January 2019.
The news comes after a series of new partnerships between the platform and housebuilders such as Barratt Developments.
Ian Springett, chief executive officer of OnTheMarket, commented: “Our strong January performance provides powerful further evidence that our growth strategy is working and engagement is building amongst both property-seekers and agents.
“Our brand proposition and our multi-channel marketing investment have proven effective in attracting active property-seekers to the portal.
“Many of our agent shareholders and customers are choosing to list their properties on a ‘new & exclusive’ basis, 24 hours or more before Rightmove or Zoopla, and we are generating greater value than ever for our agents and new homes developers.”
