Team Ineos move to Wilmslow office
Orbit Developments have welcomed Team INEOS into their Wilmslow office portfolio as the pro cycling team relocate their Cheshire workspace.
Team INEOS, formerly Team Sky, launched in 2010 with the ambition of winning the Tour de France with a British rider within five years, a goal achieved within just three years when Bradley Wiggins won the 2012 Tour de France, becoming the first British winner in its history.
The team has since gone on to win a remarkable seven Tour titles in total, including Egan Bernal’s win in 2019, and have their sights firmly set on further success in 2020 and beyond.
The move accommodates the administration/business operations and marketing function of the team and came about to improve accessibility and amenity for staff. Caroline Turpin, Office Manager for Team INEOS said:
“Being able to walk to Wilmslow train station is great for those members of the team making regular journeys to London. Wilmslow is full of great bars, cafes and restaurants so the choice for lunch or a drink after work is refreshing when compared to our previous business park home.”
Adam Jackson, Senior Leasing Surveyor at Orbit Developments added: “The reasons cited by Caroline are true for many businesses whatever their sector. Excellent public transport links and varied local amenity make a big difference to individual staff members, the wellbeing of whom is always key to business success.”
