Shakespeare Martineau promotes new London real estate partner

Law firm, Shakespeare Martineau, has announced three new senior promotions, including Simon Robinson, now a partner in the real estate team in the London office.

With a background in commercial property, planning and environment law, Robinson advises clients on a number of real estate issues from development and financing to management work. After holding the position of general counsel at a fully-listed investment fund, Robinson adds commercial value to his client’s property portfolios, as well as providing practical legal advice.

Andrew Gore is the second new partner, who works for specialist planning consultancy, Marrons Planning, part of Shakespeare Martineau. He has more than 15 years’ experience in the sector, during which he has worked with a host of housebuilders, landowners and land-promoters. His expertise helps clients to secure consent for medium to large-scale residential and commercial developments, including sustainable urban extensions (SUEs) and new settlements.

Emma Bryant has also joined the partnership. She works with clients and corporate support lawyers, advising on complex transactions, mergers and acquisitions for a number of national and international clients. Bryant combines technical knowledge and a practical approach to helping businesses meet their corporate goals, unlocking their potential, and consistently providing commercial and practical advice.

Kavita Patel, head of the London office at Shakespeare Martineau, said: “It is a huge achievement to be promoted to the partnership, and Simon, Emma and Andrew should all be incredibly proud. The knowledge and experience that they hold makes them invaluable to their teams, and the commitment they have shown is admirable.

“By recognising our people’s talent, we can enable them to reach their full potential, something the firm’s success hinges on. After all, without such dedicated and inspiring individuals, we wouldn’t be able to provide our clients with the exceptional results they’ve come to expect. I look forward to witnessing Simon’s continued success in the London real estate market, building on his already impressive commercial expertise.”
