NG completes double deal to secure independent retailers in Creative Quarter

Commercial property specialists NG Chartered Surveyors have successfully let two units in quick succession in the heart of Nottingham’s Creative Quarter.

Acting on behalf of their landlord client, NG have let 19 and 23 George Street to sole traders The Hockley Hair Room and The Luna Collective, who have taken the first step in running their own businesses independently, having had a number of years’ experience in their individual professions as a hairdresser and tattooist and piercer respectively.

Their move to this location provides a varied and exciting tenant mix to this part of the city, which has a great footfall, and popular with creative industries.

Jude Weston, Associate Director, at NG said: “We manage the properties on behalf of the landlord client, so it made sense to work with him closely, when the properties became available, in order to secure the very best tenants. With the retail sector facing continued challenges, it’s great to support the local talent we have within the city, and see them thrive”

Jude, who continues to manage the properties on behalf of the landlord, added: “This deal is a great example of how we can tailor our clients’ individual property needs, in order to effectively manage and add value to an investment.”

Jessica Sellars, owner of The Luna Collective, adds: ’‘I had never been a business owner before, so it was scary and overwhelming at first but NG Chartered Surveyors, and especially Jude, helped me so much along the way. I still have continued support now we are settled in, and the service received is second to none. Thank you, Jude and NG Chartered Surveyors, you have given us the best start with our venture!’’
