Three North East Businesses Combine Forces to Create Risk & Compliance Forum

A trio of influential North East businesses have joined forces to establish a North East Risk & Compliance Forum.

Neil Henry, Co-Owner of HLA Services, Barry Cooper, Director at Pentagon Assurance and John Devitt, Managing Director of Recovery4Life, plan to host the bi-monthly free of charge forums to provide advice and guidance to the North East’s manufacturing, engineering and automotive sectors.

The events, which will be held across the North East, will cover all aspects of risk and compliance including welding fume legislation, legionella, risk assessments, mental health and drug & alcohol abuse in the workplace. The sessions will give advice and guidance in an informal setting on how businesses can remain compliant, manage the risk to their business and protect their workforce.

All three businesses are in an ideal position to assist and give guidance with compliance concerns, HLA provide facilities management including air conditioning, refrigeration, heating & ventilation services, Pentagon Assurance provide health & safety managed services, ISO systems support and training and Recovery4Life are specialists in providing support and testing for drugs and alcohol misuse and mental health issues.

Bringing together the expertise, knowledge and experience of all three businesses along with a host of highly qualified guest speakers and advisors it is hoped the forums will provide much needed support and guidance to many local businesses who find it challenging to ensure their business and workforce remain protected and compliant in the face of changing legislation and guidelines.

In a joint statement, the three company Directors commented: “We’re delighted that we have come together to bring this new forum to the region, after speaking to many of our customers we were aware that there was a demand and requirement for support and information on how they can ensure they are up to date with current legislation and keep their business and workforce protected. Our aim is to help businesses by bringing them relevant and current information in areas that can be a major threat to any business.”
