Accountancy firm expands into last unit in central Leeds development
The last remaining space in a 41,000 sq ft office development in the centre of Leeds has been occupied.
Property Alliance group has welcomed accountancy firm Ford Campbell Freedman (FCF) as its new tenant at 33 Park Place in the city’s commercial quarter.
The accountancy practice has agreed a 10-year lease on the 4,000 sq ft space after outgrowing its previous premises.
Lisa Calvert, audit & business advisory partner at FCF, explained: “This is a really exciting time for our business.
“This move not only offers us the opportunity to provide an incredible working environment for our growing team, but also helps to ensure consistent and exceptional service to our current and future entrepreneurial clients.”
The arrival of FCF means that both 33 Park Place and neighbouring 31 York House are fully let. The buildings, which span a total of 65,000 sq ft, were acquired by Manchester-based Property Alliance Group in 2017 and were the company’s first Leeds investment.
Since the acquisition, the property specialist has invested more than £1m in 33 Park Place, adding a range of new amenities including an onsite gym with showers as well as new landscaping and seating for tenants in the courtyard area..
Rob Peill, head of offices and industrial at Alliance, added: “We purchased these office developments as they offered huge refurbishment and repositioning potential, especially given their prominent location and proximity to the station.
“We moved quickly to upgrade the space in line with the demands of local businesses and with the support of our agents, have succeeded in attracting new tenants within a short space of time and filling all available space.
“As our first venture in Leeds, this is a fantastic result for Alliance and we are now actively looking for further investment opportunities in the city.”
