Work begins on £38m 'major industrial development' in Doncaster
Work has started on the development of a £38m distribution centre in Doncaster.
The Gateway4 project at Armthorpe, which was proposed by Hillwood and Trebor Developments, has been started on by contractors Readie Construction.
The 25 acre site, which is expected to be completed in October 2020, will consist of a 409,000 sq ft distribution centre withlarge yards on either side, 38 loading doors and extensive lorry parking for 83 HGVs.
Bob Tattrie, managing partner for Trebor Developments commented: “It is great to see work commence on site with this massive industrial development.
“We look forward to working with Readie Construction on the implementation, adopting a fast track programme.
“Doncaster Metropolitan Borough Council has been most supportive to the project and will work with us in identifying potential tenants for the building”.
Councillor Bill Mordue, cabinet member for business, skills and economic development at Doncaster Metropolitan Borough Council, added: “We are delighted to welcome yet another major industrial development company in Trebor Developments to the borough.
“Our Business Doncaster team look forward to marketing the property and helping to find a tenant for this prestigious speculative unit and bring further quality investment into Doncaster.”
