GEFCO appoints new Finance Director to UK leadership team

GEFCO UK has announced the appointment of Alan Fawzy as its new Finance Director. Alan’s appointment will reinforce GEFCO UK’s leadership team with over 15 years of experience leading and building commercial finance operations across the support service, engineering and construction and education sectors.

He joins the business from Costain Group PLC, having served in several senior finance roles with the most recent as Finance Director for its Highways business. Prior to this, Alan was European CFO for the Inspired Education Group and started his career as a controller for Rentokil Initial PLC.

As Finance Director, Alan will be based at the business’ Prologis Park head office with overall responsibility for its finance activity, underpinning GEFCO UK’s continued evolution with a consistently strong financial position.

This appointment follows the recent evolution of GEFCO UK’s 2 Wheels, Marine & Powered Product Network strategy from warehousing solutions to distribution, and builds on its “Partners, unlimited” approach to going the extra mile for customers. Therefore, demonstrating GEFCO UK’s continued momentum and proactive approach to strengthening its senior team to oversee continued growth.

GEFCO UK will build on its established position and focus on the potential added value opportunities within this sector, including connected asset management, PDI & storage, and business-to-consumer bespoke deliveries.
