Bradford care facility to create new jobs with £1.4m HSBC funding
A nursing home in West Yorkshire is set to create new jobs in the area after completing an expansion of its premises using a £1.4m funding package from HSBC UK.
Well Springs Nursing Home in Bradford has undergone a 800 sq m redevelopment at its Leyland’s Lane site, creating new residential rooms as well as communal areas.
In addition to residential rooms, the extension comprises a dining area, terrace and coffee lounge, as well as a new medical room, kitchen and laundry facility.
The number of beds for full-time care at the home will increase 48 to 62, and as a result the facility - which provides specialist dementia and end of life care - expects to create 15 new jobs over the next 12 months.
Jack Redhead, managing director of Well Springs Nursing Home, commented: “We’re incredibly proud of the care we provide at Well Springs so it’s fantastic that we can accommodate even more people over the coming years thanks to this expansion.
“The funding from HSBC UK has been crucial to completing this work and we’re delighted to be in a strong position for 2020.”
Andrew Yeomans, senior commercial manager at HSBC UK North & West Yorkshire, added: “The team at Well Springs Nursing Home have created a truly welcoming space with the capacity to provide a fantastic standard of care.
“Expansion will bring exciting new opportunities and we look forward to seeing how the care home continues to improve the quality of lives for those across the region.”
