Leeds motorway services to create hundreds of jobs in recruitment drive
A motorway service venue is set to create 300 jobs in Leeds this spring.
The Leeds Skelton Lake Services will include various food, retail and leisure facilities, as well as a hotel, and will be recruiting for positions across the venue.
The service venue has been built by Extra MSA, and will be located on the M1 J45.
Andrew Long, chief executive of Extra MSA, commented: “Leeds Skelton Lake Services is in the final stages of its build process.
“The overall new MSA facility provides an important contribution to road safety on this section of the strategic road network, and will offer visitors a visually stunning place to stop off during their journey.
“We’re delighted to have a complimentary range of selected tenant operators “brand partners” on-site, some of whom are a first for the UK motorway network.
“In total, we’ll be providing around 300 full-time equivalent roles at the site, at a range of outlets, from well-known food and beverage retailers, to business and hotel facilities.
“We’ve worked very closely with our brand partners and Leeds City Council in particular, to help ensure we provide a range of good job opportunities for local people.”
The service area, which opens this spring, has already started the recruitment process.
