North East boiler company aims for £30m turnover with creation of 40 new jobs

A home heating specialist has announced that it plans to create 40 new jobs over the next year.

Boiler Plan, headquartered in Cramlington, will create the jobs as part of its long-term strategy to achieve a turnover of £30m.

The company said that it has “undergone a period of rapid expansion” and now covers almost 70 per cent of the UK.

It has a core staff of 62, meaning that the new jobs will increase its workforce by two thirds.

Ian Henderson, who founded the company, said: “It’s amazing to think that Boiler Plan only launched in 2016 - with me, a laptop and a great idea.

“I was determined to change the way boilers are sold and installed in the UK by making the whole process as simple and affordable as possible.

“Boiler Plan is going from strength to strength and its long-term strategy is to achieve a £30m turnover by 2033, create further employment and expand into the rest of the UK.

“It is gratifying to know our customers have given us a top five-star rating on Trustpilot which reflects the fact this is a customer-focused business founded on the principles of quality and service.”
