North East marketing agency to create 40 jobs with £200k investment
A North East marketing agency is planning to expand and create jobs after receiving a six-figure investment.
Curtis Gabriel has secured a £200k investment from venture capital firm Northstar Ventures, which it plans to use to expand its operations and workforce.
The company, which is headquartered in Gosforth, currently employs nearly 50 members of staff, and plans to add a further 40 before the end of the year.
The investment will also aid in securing additional UK office space in 2020, as well as helping the firm to expand overseas.
Martin Such, CEO of Curtis Gabriel, commented: “Northstar Ventures have given the Curtis Gabriel team excellent support since August 2018 and this new investment will really help us accelerate our global growth throughout 2020 and beyond.
“We anticipate employing a further 40 staff in 2020, most of which will be based in our Newcastle head office.”
Rick Charnley, Northstar Ventures investment manager, added: “We were impressed with the team and the vision for scaling up, and have been very happy to support their growth.
“We’re looking forward to continuing our relationship and seeing the company go from strength to strength in the future.”
