Gluten-free bakery set to launch Leeds cafe with NatWest crowdfunding campaign
A Yorkshire ‘free from’ bakery is set to open a cafe after launching a crowdfunding campaign to expand operations.
Wildcraft Bakery is set to launch a new unit on Green Road in Meanwood in Leeds next month with the support of a crowdfunding campaign as part of the Back Her Business initiative from NatWest and Crowdfunder.
Owned by Mina Allsopp and Sam Havas, Wildcraft Bakery specialises in artisan gluten-free products.
Primarily funded by crowdfunding, the new café will also see NatWest provide a top-up in funding of £1m per annum.
Co-founder Sam Havas commented: “We knew crowdfunding was going to be part of the new café and Back Her Business was the perfect solution as we are two women doing something we love – working and building this business together.”
Rachel Middleton, business growth enabler at NatWest, added: “Back Her Business has been created to help businesses like Wildcraft Bakery thrive and grow, and we wish them every success with the new café.”
