SQF recognised for commitment to innovation at prestigious business awards
Sleaford Quality Foods (SQF), the cross-category supplier of multiple packaged foods to the manufacturing and foodservice sector, is celebrating after winning the Innovation category at the glittering East Midlands Business Masters Awards, held in Nottingham.
Before an audience of 250 business leaders from across the Midlands, SQF was praised for its continued innovation in both products and packaging which has seen the company embark on a sugar and salt renovation programme, change the colour of its plastic packaging from black to white in an effort to become more environmentally-friendly, unveil a pledge to ensure all its packaging is recyclable or compostable by 2022 and introduce the Our Earth range of on-trend products including gluten-free, dairy-free, palm oil-free, vegan, Halal and Kosher diet suitable options.
Richard Oke, Marketing Manager at SQF said, “It’s been a busy year for everyone at SQF on the innovation front, so we’re delighted to win this award. We’re making big strides in both our free-from and environmental commitments and the benefits are already being felt by our customers.
“We’d like to thank the judges for recognising this and also like to congratulate the other shortlisted companies in our category.”
