Taylor&Emmet team shows support for Dronfield 10K

A dedicated team of runners were out in force on Sunday to represent Taylor&Emmet LLP at the firm’s namesake event, the Dronfield 10K.

Eight members of staff lined up with hundreds of participants taking part in the annual road race, which Sheffield’s Taylor&Emmet has sponsored for the last three years.

Leading the charge was IT expert, Mike Robinson, who completed the course in 42 minutes, finishing 63rd overall, from a field of more than 700 elite and amateur runners. The firm’s fastest female was conveyancer, Jodie Copley, in a time of 52 minutes.

The Taylor&Emmet Dronfield 10K is accredited by UK Athletics and attracts participants from across the area. This year’s male and female winners were Alfie Manthorpe, in a time of 32 minutes and Heather Hatton in 41 minutes.

Steve Hinshelwood, Taylor&Emmet’s chief executive, completed the course in one hour, two minutes. He said: “It was fantastic to be running with my colleagues, among such an enthusiastic crowd, representing the firm and supporting the organisers, who do such an excellent job of marshalling the 10K and fun run. Our office in Dronfield enjoys strong links with the local community and we are proud to be associated with such a well-established, respected event.”

The Taylor&Emmet Dronfield 10K is organised to raise funds for the 7th Dronfield Scout Group and local mayor’s charity. It is now in its 26th year and comprises a two lap, undulating road race through Dronfield Woodhouse, just south of Sheffield.
