Life at the frontline of the coronavirus crisis: how one recruitment agency is helping its staff, candidates and clients
A recruitment firm which is literally at the frontline of the Covid-19 outbreak across the region says it is now operating on a 24-hour basis in order to help its client base through the current crisis.
Frontline Recruitment, which has offices in Derby, Hull, Leicester, Mansfield, Nottingham and Weymouth, say it is still receiving new enquiries to provide staff across multiple sites.
David Essam, Operations Director, said that, although the company has had to change the way it works, it has a service to provide.
David said: “We’re operating at the sharp end of the crisis on a daily basis, but we’re carrying on as normal where possible, but of course under strict health and hygiene restrictions.
“We having daily Covid-19 meetings are able to change policies on an agile basis.”
Frontline is now only seeing new candidates for work under a strict appointment only basis, and all internal and external staff are asked daily about their current work and home life situation to maintain a safe working environment.“
David added: “All processes can be followed remotely or via the office and we have suspended all external and internal meetings unless absolutely necessary.
“We are operating 24 hours a day from the workplace, home or our onsite facility to help local businesses cover any cases of sickness or to handle volume requirements. All staffing requests over the passed 8 days have been fulfilled 100%. For example, last weekend we supported and supplied an additional 30 workers urgent jobs.”
David said that even though some clients have reduced or closed sites, Frontline continues to receive new staffing requests based on companies knowing that the company can help.
He said: “All our staff are being supported with any concerns, questions and Frontline mental health first aiders are available 24/7 to ensure their welfare is at the forefront of each decision.
“Our Frontline management are leading by example and staying positive during these tough times. We have a service to provide and will continue to do so to the best of our ability.”
