Mum of two dreams of becoming a full time ceramicist
London based Jo Dearlove started a Crowdfunder campaign to fulfil her dream of becoming a full time potter.
Having had her first child at a young age, Jo had to put her dreams to the side and get a job to fit in with her family life. Jo works as a full time teaching assistant and her daughters are now 20 and 11. Jo found out about the Natwest Bring it 2020 program that was supporting women in the UK to follow their dreams of a new busines idea. This initiative is part of the banks push to reduce the gender gap and offer more support to female led businesses.
Jo was overwhelmed when she reached her target after only three days of going live and will be using the money to buy a potters wheel. Being creative is good for mental wellbeing and Jo can’t wait to show others how it can reduce stress but be warned that you will get hooked!
