Warrington Hospital receives donation from local company
Every year, X-Press Legal Services, based in Warrington, give their clients Easter chocolates. But this year was different, as the team decided that they should instead be re-routed and donated to Warrington Hospital for the staff and their patients to enjoy.
X-Press Legal Services, which provides property searches and reports for the conveyancing sector across the North West, explained to their clients why they weren’t going to receive their traditional gifts this year, and as expected, they were all delighted that the chocolates have been donated to such a brilliant cause.
Sam Dennis, Account Manager at the X-Press office in Birchwood, delivered the large boxes of chocolates to the Community and Volunteer Hub. The hub has been set up as a place where donations can be dropped off, they are then packed into parcels and delivered to the amazing staff as well as to patients who have been discharged from the hospital.
Lynne Lister, Managing Director said: “Gifting chocolates to our clients every Easter is a time-honoured tradition of ours, but as we are unable to hand deliver them as we would normally do, it seemed fitting to donate them to the hospital.
“We knew our clients would be in full support and we were all really touched by what they said. One client said ‘That’s a great idea, but all I want is to be able to meet up with you all again’ which we felt really summed up how we are all feeling.
“We are thrilled to have donated them to our local hospital. This is just one of the ways we are able to say thank you for the amazing work the NHS staff are doing each and every day.”
